Relief Is Only A Phone Call Away
We hope you never need this info, but if you’re a taxpayer and have exhausted all the normal channels of petition with the IRS, don’t despair. Call the Taxpayer Advocate Service. Established in 1997 by President Clinton, this service is composed of Citizen Advocacy panels, on e in each of the IRS regions. This service is independent of the IRS. To contact them, you can call their toll-free telephone number 24/7: 1-877-777-4778 or TTY/TTD: 1-800-829-4059. Their web site is: http://www.improveirs.org. You can also purchase Publication 1546, The Taxpayer Advocate Service of the IRS from the IRS or download it by clicking on http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p1546.pdf. Help is on the way.

I suppose innovations are often, if not always, viewed with suspicion. Such as the Model T by the horse and buggy person, the flying machines by the earth-minded. It’s easier, faster, just as secure (I hope that’s right) and it costs YOU, the taxpayer, less money.
